Rain is great and clean enough for plants when you get it, but whether you have frequent rain, or have a drier rainy season you may want to catch and store what you can for filtering to drink or as is for watering your garden plants when you don't get as much. One way to catch it is to route your gutters (with an overflow bypass) to run straight to rain catch containers. Depending on how clean your roof and gutters are (rocks, dirt, etc) you may want to start off with something cleaner. A large tarp is good to cover a large area, and funnel it down to designated storage container. The tarp will start out clean and you can hang it up in, or tie it to trees to keep it up from the ground. You will however, want to make your lowest point come to a "V" for channeling it where you want it. by stringing up a tarp for catching rainwater. It is a good start for cleaning, or water you plants as it is. I do plan on getting one hung for that reason and showing you a couple ways to get it to work for you. I am working on a few things for you here,
Until next time,
Be safe and Happy Prepping!
